As for my thoughts?  This stand isn't of the greatest quality, but it serves its purpose.  I use it to prop my phone up on my desk so I can watch netflix while working.  I do not know that it is heavy enough to hold a very big tablet however.  It is easy to use and works well on a flat surface.
