As for my thoughts? This is a well made whistle.  I put it on a lanyard around my neck and wear it around the house because I am trying to train my dogs not to bark at every little thing they hear outside.  I am against shock collars and I feel that using a whistle is far more humane. This one has a little knob you turn to adjust the pitch and so you can try different ones to see what works with your dog.
