Cooking and baking are sciences that require great tools.  A good thermometer will help make sure meat is on temperature so you don't get sick.  It's also great for candy making, making sure your oil is the right temperature for frying, and baking.  Many thermometers don't so up high enough to measure the temperatures for candy or oil, but this one measures up to 572ºF so it does!  It is digital so you get a fast, accurate reading.  Recommended!

As for my thoughts? I have never used a burger press before, but I found it surprisingly easy!  You just make the mixture the way you want it, then press it in the contraption, and voila!  It has a little lifter which makes it easy to pop the patty out and make the next one.  It is made of plastic and has nonslip feet to keep it from moving around when you are working.  It is dishwasher safe, so cleanup is easy! It's not just for burgers either!  You can make chiken patties, veggie burgers, salmon patties, crab cakes...  all kinds of patty shaped goodness!

As for my thoughts? This product is genius.  It is made of quality silicone so I feel safe drinking from it.  They freeze fantastically to keep my water cold while I am out and about hiking, biking, taking my kid to the zoo, whatever.  I love that once you are done drinking you can roll them up and they don't take up a lot of space in my bag.  I can refill them when an opportunity arises and save money by not having to buy bottled water and drinks.  And there is no waste to throw away!

As for my thoughts?
