As for my thoughts? This cutting mat is AMAZING!  I have never owned anything like it before.  I usually craft with cardboard under my project when I am using a knife...  boy was I missing out.  This mat is SO nice and thick.  It is double sided so it will last me a long long long time.  So far every cut I have put in it has healed away and is gone.  I was stunned.  This protects my tabletop like a champ.  I love the myriad of lines and measurements on the surface as well.  They help me stay neat and straight when I am cutting.  I can't say enough how great this mat is!
